Service Schedule for July to September 2008

at Leeds Parish Church

The Church is open daily for at least four hours from 9.30 and the Coffee Shop from 10.30 to 2.00 [Monday-Friday] – 10.30 to 1.00 Saturday. The Church also opens 30 minutes before weekday Choral Services listed on the schedule below and 45 minutes prior to Sunday Services.

 Morning Prayers are usually said at 9.45 each weekday from Monday to Friday and all are warmly welcome.

bullet Please note that, owing to repairs to the interior of the building, the Parish Church and the Coffee Shop will be closed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of the last full week in July – the 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th. The building will be open on Saturday morning for the visit of the Victorian Society and on Sunday for the services at 9.15 am, 10.30 am and 6.30 pm. The building will be closed all day on Monday 28th July for cleaning. Church and Coffee shop re-open again on Tuesday 29th July when the normal choir holiday schedule resumes [see below].

 

July and August Sundays

9.15 am       Holy Communion to the rite of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer [said]

10.30 am     The Eucharist with Hymns [Congregational]

10.30 am     Choral Eucharist [July 20th only] the Adult Choir will be present on  Sunday 20th July for the Civic Choral Eucharist commemorating the 90th Anniversary of the Battle of Bligny Ridge

6.30 pm      Congregational Evensong

 

August Sunday evenings

7.45 pm                 Romanic Organ Masterworks – recitals of popular organ music. Admission Free

 

July and August Weekdays – Morning Prayers Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 9.45 except on Monday 21st, Tuesday 22nd, Wednesday 23rd, Thursday 24th, Friday 25th & Monday 28th when the Church is closed for repairs and cleaning

Thursdays

1.05 pm      Book of Common Prayer Holy Communion [said] – no service on the 24th July

Fridays

12.00 noon   Midday Prayers [said]

12.30 pm     Lunchtime Organ Music – Fridays 4th, 11th and 18th July only – No recitals in August
