PANCAKE RACES

A long-standing Leeds Parish Church tradition has been revived this year with our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Races again taking place after a gap of several years. The event took place on 8th March from 2pm to 3pm. Participants included children and teachers from Key Stage 2 of our Parish School, St. Peter's Church of England Primary School in Lincoln Green, along with Boy and Girl Choristers, and members of of Junior Church group meeting regularly during Sunday morning services. There was also a race involving our clergy and other members of our staff.

Some 250 pancakes were cooked on the day by the chef from the Create Foundation, with just a small proportion needing to be be set aside for the races!
