FESTIVAL OF NINE LESSONS AND CAROLS

Our Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, the city's Carol Service, took place on Sunday 19th December at 3pm and was attended by well over 200 people. Guest readers were Dr. Ingrid Roscoe, H.M. Lord Lieutenant for West Yorkshire; Cllr James McKenna, Lord Mayor of Leeds; Richard Clough Esq., High Sheriff of West Yorkshire; John Thorp, civic architect; Valerie James, Wrigleys Solicitors; Philip Arundel, former Diocesan Secretary; and Yvonne Wilkinson, Head Teacher Gateways School. The First Lesson was read by Boy Chorister Nathan Beguin and the Ninth Lesson by the Rector of Leeds. Music was provided by the Choir of Leeds Parish Church.
