BATTLE OF THE ORGANS

This very popular annual event at Leeds Parish Church took place on Wednesday 15th June at 7.30pm, and we are again grateful for the sponsorship of Mr. "Andie" Andrews and for the generous support of Dr. Keith Harrington and his colleagues at Makin Organs. This year's Battle of the Organs featured no less than 6 organists; including Professor Ian Tracey, Ian Wells, Daniel Bishop and Martyn Noble from Liverpool Cathedral, plus our own Dr. Simon Lindley and our Assistant Organist David Houlder, as well as percussionist Diane Carlisle. And, once again this year, the "big" screen supplied by Keith Hearnshaw added to the fun! Attended by an audience of some 230 people, the event raised in excess of £2000 for the "Bridging the Gap" appeal.
